about

What can you say about the Grateful Dead that hasn't been said? They pretty much created the idea of a permanent '60's high culture that only gets stronger with time. Emy was a member of that Southern Oregon community for decades. This great modern spiritual was ripe for re-invention, and we re-imagined Ripple as a Zen Koan from a mountain top somewhere near Windham Hill. With Pacific Northwest natives Grant Gordy on guitar and Terry Longshore on tablas.

lyrics

If my words did glow with the gold of sunshine, And my tunes were played on the harp unstrung Would you hear my voice come thru the music, would you hold it near as it were your own? Reach out your hand... If your cup be empty, If your cup is full, may it be again. Let it be known: There is a fountain that was not made by the hands of men. Ripple in still water... Ripple in still water... Ripple in still water…When there is no pebble tossed, Nor wind to blow.
