Not a one. It was written for a some friends of the band, for their 50th wedding anniversary celebration. Each person spent 50 years in the relationship, so that equals 100. One of the things I love about Vasen is their love of commemorative tunes, dedicated to friends and family.

about

Darol Anger’s 3rd Annual Keepin' It In the Fam Holiday Show with Emy Phelps, Tristan Clarridge, Ethan Jodziewicz, Simon Chrisman and Jacob Ransom at the Alberta Rose Theatre:

Acoustic Music legend Darol Anger joined rising singer-songwriter Emy Phelps in organizing some of the country's best young string musicians in a multigenerational musical experience focusing on the spirit of Midwinter and the turning of the year. Anger’s experience with holiday shows from Windham Hill through Newgrange to Yulegrass, his quirky humor, and his genius for organizing exciting bands was in full swing. Multi-award-winning fiddler & Crooked Still cellist Tristan Clarridge, the phenomenal bassist and Edgar Meyer protege Ethan Jodziewicz, and hammer dulcimer wizard Simon Chrisman joined Anger and Phelps in December 2015’s concert at the Alberta Rose Theatre in Portland, Oregon for a magical concert filled with spiritual uplift and musical virtuosity. Special guests included renowned composer/violist Kenji Bunch and virtuoso percussionist Dr. Jacob Ransom.
